Shouts of joy could be heard at the Missouri Football Spring Game on Sat., April 12, even before the Mizzou Tigers and their pigskin graced the field.

Adding their own brand of excitement to Missouri's trademark Super Tiger Saturday, the Mizzou soccer team announced the winner of the Show-Me-The-Money raffle helping the Tigers earn funds toward an international pre-season excursion.

Looking to testing their mettle against the fine athletes of Brazil this August, the Tiger women's soccer program sponsored the raffle to help with the cost of a trip. After selling 142 tickets over the past few weeks to help generate the necessary funds, the Tigers randomly chose the winner of the raffle in conjunction with the spring football game. Senior goalkeeper Stephanie Krawczyk drew the winning ticket announcing Larry and Karen Moore the victors in the contest.

Upon learning of their good fortune, the Moores generously announced their intention to gift the soccer program with $1,000 from their winnings.

The Mizzou soccer program would like to thank the Moores for their generous donation along with all those who participated in this raffle that helped the Tigers raise $11,000 towards their trip to Brazil.

"We are very excited about the trip and thankful for all of the support we received toward reaching our goals," Assistant Coach Mikki Denney Wright said. "We urge all of our fans to keep an eye out this August for news from Brazil and we hope to see you at some of our games next fall."
