COLUMBIA, Mo. - The two-game midweek baseball series with Western Illinois scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday night has been cancelled due to forecast inclement weather, Head Coach Tim Jamieson announced this morning.
The games, which were originally scheduled to be the sixth and seventh of a season-high 10-game homestand, instead bring the total number of cancelled games to nine. Missouri has played just 10 games to date, and is 6-4 after sweeping a Saturday doubleheader from Youngstown State.
Although there is a possibility of a game being added this Thursday, Missouri's next scheduled games come this weekend, when Creighton comes to Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field for a three-game series. Game 1 is set for Friday, March 7, at 6:30 p.m., with the Saturday and Sunday games slated for 2 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
