MONROE, La. - Heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the Southeast forced a rainout for the Missouri baseball team Friday at the University of Louisiana-Monroe Holiday Inn/Citgo Classic.
As a result, the Tigers will now play two games on Saturday. Missouri will play its regularly scheduled game against Northwestern (La.) State at 1 p.m., and then face ULM at 4 p.m.
The Tigers' pitching rotation for the weekend will not change. Sophomore Justin James (Yukon, Okla.) will take the mound to face Northwestern State, while sophomore Garrett Broshuis (Advance, Mo.) will start against Louisiana-Monroe.
Missouri had been scheduled to face the host Indians at 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The Tigers will wrap up their three-game trip to Louisiana when they face the University of Northern Iowa on Sunday.
