Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri has finalized its 2003 football schedule, as announced today by Director of Athletics Mike Alden.
The opponent for MU's home game on Sept. 13th has changed from Western Kentucky to Eastern Illinois. Missouri and Western Kentucky were scheduled to meet on that date, but the Hilltoppers asked out of the contracted game due to a scheduling conflict. After finding a suitable replacement in Eastern Illinois, Mizzou allowed Western Kentucky out of its agreement.
Times for MU's first two home games (Sept. 13th vs. Eastern Illinois and Sept. 20th vs. Middle Tennessee State) have been set for 1 p.m., with all other times to be determined in the coming months. Homecoming 2003 has been set for Oct. 25th when MU hosts Texas Tech.
Tickets for all games are available at the MU Athletic Ticket Office by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS, or 884-PAWS in Columbia.
Looking to continue momentum under third-year Head Coach Gary Pinkel, Mizzou will begin its official spring practice period with its first practice on March 6th. The spring schedule will culminate with the annual Black and Gold Scrimmage, set for Saturday, April 12th at 2 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
