COLUMBIA, Mo.- Former Missouri tight end Dwayne Blakley agreed to a two-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Blakley, who was not drafted on the second day of the NFL Draft, entertained offers from three other teams before deciding on signing as a free agent with the Chiefs.
Kansas City is great fit for Blakley. He is from St. Joseph, Mo. Blakley had 79 receptions for 868 yards and 12 touchdowns in his career as a Missouri Tiger. In 2001, Blakley caught 34 passes for 362 yards and four touchdowns. One of those touchdowns was a fourth quarter game-winner against Kansas.
