- Tonight's attendance was a season-high 60,578, and raised MU's home attendance average to 53,360 in 3 home games thus far.
- Missouri won the coin toss for the first time this season, and kicked off to begin the game, as Oklahoma chose to take the ball first.
- WR Justin Gage broke the MU career receptions record with his first catch tonight, a 1-yd. pass from Brad Smith. He entered the game tied with Kenny Holly for first on the list with 151 catches, and finished with 9 receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown. His current career numbers are 160 receptions for 2,142 yards. He is just 3 yards away from passing Victor Bailey as Mizzou's all-time yardage leader.
- QB Brad Smith had 80 yards rushing on 8 carries in the first half, just 8 yards shy of what Oklahoma allowed on average (88.0 ypg) coming into the game. He finished with a career-high 213 yards on 26 carries, which is the highest total ever by a Missouri quarterback, and the sixth-best total by any Tiger. He also completed 19-of-39 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown, giving him a career-high 391 yards of total offense.
- Smith is the first Oklahoma opponent to rush for more than 200 yards since Texas's Hodges Mitchell rushed for 204 on Oct. 9, 1999. He added a career-high two touchdowns on the ground.
- Missouri's 271 total rushing yards marks the first time in 37 games - when Colorado played the Sooners in 1999 - that Oklahoma has allowed 200-plus yards on the ground. It is Mizzou's first 200-yard rushing performance since DeVaughn Black's 205 against Western Michigan in 1999.
- Oklahoma entered the game giving up just 41 points in its first four games before allowing 24 tonight.
- Tonight's game marked the first time this season, and just the sixth time in the 16-game Pinkel era, that Missouri has committed more turnovers than its opponents.
- Darius Outlaw had a career-high four receptions (for 24 yards).
- Brad Smith's 46-yard completion to Justin Gage was the longest of his five-game career.
