Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri will continue its longstanding tradition of Homecoming against its fiercest rival, the University of Kansas, with a game that will kickoff at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 26th, as announced today by the Department of Athletics.
The time was finalized today, as the game was not selected for telecast as part of the Big 12 Conference television package.
Homecoming Saturday will also feature numerous events for Tiger fans to show their pride. Also taking place that day include:
?The women's basketball team will host its annual "Brewer Breakfast" at 8 a.m. at Brewer Fieldhouse. This is the first public practice each season by the team, and everyone in attendance will be served a free pancake breakfast.
?The Homecoming Parade will begin in downtown Columbia at 8:30 a.m. Fans are encouraged to wear gold to the football game at 1 p.m., and commemorative Gold Rush T-shirts are available for $16 at the Tiger Team Store.
?The men's basketball team will host its annual Black & Gold Game, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Hearnes Center. Tickets for the game are $5, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Columbia. Tickets are available for purchase at the Hearnes Center box office, or by calling 1-800-CAT-PAWS (884-PAWS in Columbia).
?The MU volleyball team will host Texas at the Hearnes Center, beginning one hour after the conclusion of the football game. A tentative start time is listed as 5 p.m., provided the MU-KU game ends at 4 p.m. Tickets for the match are $2 with a ticket stub from the football game.
