The University of Missouri women's cross country team moved into the rankings for the first time this year by taking the 20th position in the latest FinishLynx Top 30 cross country poll, released on Monday. The Tigers have won the team titles at both of their meets this season.
Last week, the harrier's won at the Brother Doyle Meet of Champions in New York, beating three nationally ranked teams and 23 teams in total. The Tigers began their season by winning the Missouri Cross Country Challenge at home. Mizzou's women's cross country has not been ranked this high since they finished 16th at the 2000 NCAA National Championships.
Missouri's men's and women's cross country teams will be back in action this weekend when they head to Chicago for the Loyola Lakefront Invitational.
