COLUMBIA, Mo. - Kerensa Barr, a junior guard on the University of Missouri women's basketball team, is the nation's leader in free throw percentage, according to Tuesday's statistical release by the NCAA. The statistical report is through games played by Jan. 14.
Barr has made 73-of-78 foul shots this season for a mark of 93.6 percent. If she were not to play another game this season, she would surpass the school-record mark of 84.6 percent set by Lisa Plummer in the 1980-81 season.
She carries that mark into tonight's Big 12 Conference game against Nebraska.
