The Missouri Tiger volleyball team took to the Hearnes Center courts on Friday for day one of preseason workouts. The Tigers are just three weeks away from opening their season at the Oregon State Volleyball Showcase in Corvallis, Ore.

Head Coach Susan Kreklow put the Tigers through a morning and afternoon practice on Friday and will do the same on Saturday.

The Tigers will continue two-a-day workout for the next two weeks, including the Black & Gold Scrimmage on Aug. 21 at 7 p.m., which will be the first chance for fans to see the 2002 Tigers in action.

Missouri will be looking to make its third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament this season. MU finished the 2001 season 20-11, their second straight 20 win season.

The season opening tournament in Oregon takes place on Aug 30-31. The Tigers first home action will be the Tiger Invitational on September 13-14.
