The No. 62 ranked Missouri women's tennis team lost its second straight match to a team from Kansas after No. 43 Kansas State downed the Tigers 7-0 at the Ahearn Field House in Manhattan, Kan. on Sunday.
Missouri's top doubles team of sophomore Urska Juric and freshman Katka Sevcikova defeated KSU's Alena Jecminkova and Andrea Cooper 8-6, but Kansas State won the remaining two doubles matches to earn the doubles point. The Wildcats then swept the six singles matches to claim the shutout.
The Tigers drop to 8-10 on the year and 1-9 in the Big 12 Conference. They return home for two matches next weekend at the Green Tennis Center at Mizzou. On Saturday, MU will host Syracuse and on Sunday, Eastern Illinois will visit Columbia.
