COLUMBIA, Mo.- Junior Radu Miclaus represented the Missouri Tigers at the 2002 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Athens, Ga. on Saturday. Miclaus, a native of Sibiu, Romania, finished in 27th place in the 200 butterfly. He finished the race in a time of 1:47.34, just one second off of his personal best time.

For Miclaus, it was his first trip to the NCAA Championships. He finished in second place in the 200 butterfly at the Big 12 Championship meet in College Station, Texas in February. Miclaus and junior Matt Ferrarelli will lead the Tigers into the 2002-03 campaign, a season that looks to be very promising for the Missouri men's swimming and diving team.
