Spring Practice Report, Day 2

March 18, 2002

COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri Tigers completed day number two of spring football on Sunday afternoon on the practice fields behind the Tom Taylor Building. The Tigers were outdoors for the first time and practiced in helmets. It was an enthusiastic practice as the Tigers prepare to go with full pads for the first on Monday afternoon.

Both the offense and defense split time working on the running and passing game. The tempo was fast, and Tigers were executing more times than not. The offensive standout of the day looked to be sophomore wide receiver Thomson Omboga, who caught nearly every ball thrown his way. The defense looked good as well, highlighted by an interception off of a deflected pass by honorable mention All-Big 12 linebacker Sean Doyle.

Sunday's practice was intense and physical, despite going without pads. The Tigers are ready to do some hitting, and they will be able to do so on Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
