Missouri sophomore Urska Juric has been named as this week's Big 12 Conference women's tennis player of the week. Juric was selected after she picked up two three-set victories last week against conference opponents.

On Friday, Juric won what was the decisive match in Missouri's 4-3 upset of No. 23 Oklahoma State. She defeated Dominic Olszewska of OSU 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 before teaming with freshman Katka Sevcikova to clinch the doubles point for the Tigers.

The next day, Juric defeated Irina Tereschenko of Texas Tech in another three-set match 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Juric, Missouri's No. 1 singles player, has a singles record of 17-8 in fall and spring play for the 2001-02 season.

The Tigers will be back in action on March 23 when they travel to St. Louis to take on both St. Louis University and Creighton University.
