Columbia, Mo.-The University of Missouri Women's Basketball team (14-14 overall, 5-11 in the Big 12) will host a first round game of the Women's National Invitation Tournament, it was announced by the selection committee on Sunday. The Tigers will take on Alabama (17-11 overall, 7-7 in SEC) at 7 pm on Wednesday night in the Hearnes Center. If the Tigers can get by the Tide, they will take on the victor of the Eastern Kentucky-Southwest Missouri State game that will also be played on Wednesday.
This marks the second time in the past three seasons the Tigers have qualified for the WNIT and the third straight season Mizzou has qualified for post-season play.
