COLUMBIA, Mo. - Kerensa Barr, a junior guard on the University of Missouri women's basketball team, was named as a third-team selection to the Verizon Academic All-America Team for the University Division.

Barr, who carries a 3.85 grade-point average in business administration, led the Tigers in scoring, steals and assists while finishing third in rebounds. She averaged 15 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while recording 120 assists and 57 steals.

Barr, who ranks among MU's career leaders in free throw percentage, assists and steals, becomes the first Tiger to be honored since Joni Davis was a second-team selection in 1985. The Tigers posted a 14-14 record this season.
