Pensacola, Fla. - The University of Missouri men's golf team claimed a 3-2 win over Illinois Saturday in the Border War, a match-play contest that was held in Pensacola, Fla.

In the #1 competition, Illinois' Ryan Tendall defeated Missouri's Mark McBride, 6 and 5.

MU's Brandon Knaub even the match at one match apiece with a 4 and 3 win over UI's Garrett CChaussard.

MU also claimed wins at the #3 and #4 spots to clinch the team competition, as Chris Happ defeated Geoff Lound (1 up), while Mike Radek downed James Lepp (3 and 2).

Illinois' Mike O'Neal defeated Cory Ewert, 2 and 1 to round out the competition.

Tim Robyn's squad will stay put in sunny Florida, as they'll take part in the West Florida Classic, to be held March 4-5 in Pensacola.
