Tigers Record 3.2 Fall GPA

Jan. 25, 2002

The Missouri women's swimming and diving team enters Saturday's contest with Iowa State with a perfect 7-0 dual meet record. As great of a season as it has been in the pool for the Tigers, it has been a very good season out of the pool as well.

The women's and diving team posted a 3.20 GPA for the 2001 fal1 semester. Sixteen members of the team recorded grade point averages of 3.0 or better. One of those sixteen was a 4.0. The Tigers were second in team grade point average at Missouri in the fall only to women's cross-country.

"In the last 10 years, we have tried to achieve a high academic standard for our program," said Head Coach Brian Hoffer. "The kids on this particular team really apply themselves in the classroom and turned out the best GPA since I have been here. They should really be proud of themselves."
