Tiger Wrestling Remains No. 9 in New Poll

In the latest poll released by Intermat on Tuesday, the Missouri Tiger wrestling team remained ranked No. 9 in the nation. This marks the fourth consecutive week MU has been in the top 10 and third straight week at No. 9.

Mizzou's next opponent, Oklahoma State, fell from No. 2 to No. 5 in the new poll. The Cowboys are coming off a tough weekend where they finished seventh at the National Duals.

Seven Tigers are ranked in the top 20 of their weight classes. Sophomore Scott Barker is ranked No. 7 at 197 pounds and sophomore Jeremy Spates is No. 9 at 149 pounds.

Redshirt freshman Tyron Woodley (165) and senior John Kopnisky (174) are ranked eleventh in their weight class.

Junior Kevin Herron is the No. 14 ranked heavyweight, sophomore Kenny Burleson is ranked No. 17 at 157 pounds and sophomore J.P. Reese is ranked No. 20 in the 141-pound class.

The Tigers are 11-0 for the first time in 34 years. The No. 9 ranking is the highest ever ranking for a MU wrestling team. Missouri and Oklahoma State will dual in the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse on Friday at 7 p.m.
