Men's Golf Finishes 13th at Louisiana Classics Tournament

The University of Missouri men's golf team finished in 13th place at the Louisiana Classics, which wrapped up today at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La. The 36-hole tournament winner was Tennessee, which had a two-round team total of 572 over two days. Southern Methodist was second with a team score of 576, while Mississippi came in third, at 578. Missouri had a nice improvement on the second day, dropping eight strokes from the team score from Monday's opening round. MU shot a 297 today as a team, and finished with a 602 total.
Individually, Missouri was led by junior Mark McBride, who tied for 26th place individually with a two-round total of 147. He was just four strokes out of the top ten, and shot a one-under par 71 Tuesday, which was a five-stroke improvement over Monday's round of 76.
Freshman Michael Radek was MU's next finisher, with a two-round total of 151. He shot rounds of 76 and 75 for the tournament. Junior Chris Happ improved by seven strokes Tuesday, firing a two-over par 73 after opening Monday with an 80. Happ finished in a tie for 57th place overall with his two-round total of 153.
Other Tiger competitors included freshman Brandon Knaub (60th - 154), sophomore Shawn Fleming (68th - 156) and senior Tom Vogt, who competed individually and finished 73rd after taking an 83 Tuesday.
