
Baylor hands Tigers their first loss

WACO, Texas - The University of Missouri tennis team suffered its first loss of the 2001 season, dropping a 7-0 dual decision to fellow Big 12 Conference member Baylor.
The Bears, who are ranked 18th nationally and feature three of the nation's top-ranked players, swept singles action by a 6-0 decision and won two of the three doubles matches for one point.
The loss snapped Missouri's best-ever (5-0) mark to open a season.
MU's team of Cassie Drake and Caitlin Thompson, picked up a 9-7 win in doubles.
The Tigers (5-1 overall, 0-1 Big 12) continue conference play Sunday against Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas.
