Columbia, Mo. - In light of the recent events that have affected our nation, the University of Missouri will be increasing its security presence at events, and is specifically encouraging fans to adjust their timetables for this Saturday's football game vs. Nebraska at Memorial Stadium to compensate for the changes.
As part of the increased security, fans and media can expect delays getting into the stadium, due to an increased emphasis on security checks. Gates will open for the 11:30 a.m. game at 9:30 a.m., a half-hour ahead of the regular opening time of 1? hours prior to kickoff.
The Tiger Walk will still take place at the regularly scheduled time of 9:30 (two hours prior to kickoff), and all fans are encouraged to welcome the Tigers as they cross Providence Road and enter the southwest corner of the stadium.
While fans are prohibited from bringing most items into the stadium, small bags will still be allowed, pending a voluntary inspection for safety purposes. Bags not allowed for inspection will not be permitted inside the stadium. Fans and media are encouraged to bring bags only when necessary, as delays will be proportionate to the number of bags that need inspection.
A special ceremony honoring the victims of the Sept. 11th attacks will take place just prior to kickoff, and Mizzou student-athletes along with the American Red Cross and Columbia Fire Department personnel will be taking donations for disaster relief funds. Additionally, members of Missouri Task Force One, the group that spent two weeks as part of the search and rescue mission in New York, will be honored at the game.

Tickets Still Available for MU-Nebraska Game Saturday
General admission tickets remain available for the Missouri-Nebraska game Saturday. These tickets can be purchased for $16 apiece at the Hearnes Center Ticket Office, or are available by phone (1-800-CAT-PAWS or 884-PAWS) or online through www.ticketmaster.com.
