Tiger Caravans Get Underway April 23

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Athletic Department and the MU Alumni Association invites MU alumni, fans and friends to meet with new Head Football Coach Gary Pinkel, and other Tiger coaches and administrators, when the Mizzou Caravan gets underway next week.

The week-long promotional tour includes stops in Kennett (April 23), Hannibal (April 24), Mendon (April 25), Joplin (April 26), Springfield (April 26) and wraps up Monday, April 30th in St. Joseph.

Each Caravan event will feature a speaking program by Tiger Athletic officials along with lunch, dinner or social hour opportunities. Coach Pinkel will present his goals for the Tiger football program as it prepares for the upcoming 2001 season, and review the spring practice period, which ends this Saturday with the annual Black and Gold Spring Game.

Mizzou fans can pick up Tiger football ticket information at the event. Persons attending will also have the opportunity to purchase Tiger merchandise and souvenirs from the Tiger Team Store, official Memorial Stadium/Hearnes Center vendor.
