Probable Starters: Missouri has not made an announcement regarding the starting pitchers for this week's contests.

Ouch!: For the second time this year, Lee Laskowski has suffered a broken nose. Laskowski suffered a broken nose during a play at first base in Sunday's game against Texas. A timetable for his return has not been released but he could return to the diamond this week. He also broke his nose during the Tigers' fall practice session. Laskowski has appeared in 22 games this season for Missouri and is hitting a team-high 345 with six doubles and 12 runs batted in.

Last Time Out: The Tigers won one of three games against 20th-ranked Texas in Austin. UT won game one 9-2 before the Tigers won the second game 10-6. Texas took advantage of four Missouri errors and pounded out 17 hits in the 13-0 triumph in game three. In game one, Mick Weiss and Jon Williams each had two hits to the lead the Tigers. In game two, Missouri used a six-run second inning to roll to a 7-1 lead and pick up the 10-6 triumph. A three-run home run by Mick Weiss in the second inning was the big blast in that frame. Weiss and Lee Laskowski each had two hits. Laskowski, who drove in two runs as did W.T. Hoover, hit a single to right field to knock in Jayce Tingler in the first inning to give MU a quick 1-0 lead as Missouri improved to 15-2 when scoring the game's first run. Ryan Stegall had his third three-hit game of the season and pitched a scoreless ninth inning. Logan Dale picked up the win, his third of the season, after scattering five hits in five and two-thirds innings.

On Sunday, Texas used two MU errors and seven hits to score six runs in the third inning and jump to a 7-0 lead.

Southeast Missouri Notes: The Indians, from the Ohio Valley Conference, are 25-13 this season overall and have an 8-4 mark in league play. Clemente Bonilla leads the team with a .435 batting average. Todd Pennington has a 7-1 record and ranks among the nation's best with a 1.07 earned-run average to go with 74 strikeouts in 59 innings pitched. Mark Hogan is in his seventh season as the head coach and has guided the Indians to a 202-158-1 mark.

Missouri-SE Missouri Series: The series started in 1986 and each team won one game that season. Since then, Missouri has won 13 of the next 16 meetings and holds a 14-4 edge. Southeast Missouri won both meetings in 2000. Tim Jamieson's first game as the Missouri head coach was against Southeast Missouri to open the 1995 season. The Indians won that game 5-4.
