Tigers Take To The Beach at Lakefront Invitational

The University of Missouri cross country team looks to continue its success at the Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational Saturday.
Mizzou faced a tough field at last weekend's Roy Griak Invitational in Minnesota. The MU women finished 12th and the men finished 14th. Big 12 Runner of the Week senior Ann Marie Brooks paced the women with an 18th-place finish while sophomores Kerry Hils and Amy Chipman came in 35th and 46th respectively. Senior Nick Smith led the Tiger men with a seventh place showing. Junior Mike Pitts finished 26th and senior Adam MacDowell placed 41st.
The Lakefront Invitational will take place at Chicago's Montrose Beach on Lake Michigan. Loyola University is the host team, with Northwestern, Tennessee and Drake among the top teams entered.
The women's 6K race kicks off at 10:15 a.m. and the men start at 11:00 a.m.
