Mizzou Harriers Named Big 12 Runners of the Week

COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri sophomore Kerry Hils and senior Adam MacDowell were named Big 12 Conference Runners of the Week Monday.
Hils, a native of Moberly, Mo., finished first in the women's 5k run with a time of 18:21.88. She led the 20th-ranked Mizzou women to a first place showing at the Missouri Challenge. The Tigers held six of the top-eight times at the home meet.
MacDowell, who is from Manchester, Mo., paced the 25th-ranked MU men with a 24:59.19 mark in the 8k run. The Missouri men took the top-three spots to score the overall first place finish.
"We have a lot of talent on this team and Adam MacDowell and Kerry Hils are apart of this group," said cross country Head Coach Jared Wilmes
The Tigers are in action next at the University of Minnesota Invitational Sept. 23.
