Men's Golf Finishes 16th at The Nelson Invitational

Stanford, Calif. - The University of Missouri men's golf team finished in 16th place at The Nelson Invitational, which wrapped up today at the Stanford Golf Course, in Stanford, Calif.
Missouri shot team rounds of 301-295-307 for a three-round team total of 903.
The Tigers were led individually by freshman Michael Radek, who tied for 17th place overall, with a three-round total of 218. He shot rounds of 73 and 74 to open the tournament, but closed with a solid even-par 71 to pace Head Coach Tim Robyn's squad. Radek has now placed in the top-20 in three of his last four outings this fall.
Junior Neal Stafford was next up for the Tigers, with a three-round total of 225 (74-76-75) that left him tied for 52nd place. Junior Mark McBride shot rounds of 79-74-78 to finish tied for 76th place with a 231 total. That marked the first time this fall that he has not placed in the top-20.
Freshman Brandon Knaub tied for 76th place individually, along with teammate McBride, while junior Chris Happ rounded out the Tiger lineup by finishing 89th place.
Missouri will close out the 2000 fall season on Nov. 6-7, at the Baylor Invitational in Waco, Texas.
