Missouri Tennis Wins First Of Four At Home

The Missouri Tigers (4-10) began their first match in a four match homestand today at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex with a 7-2 win over the Southeast Missouri Otahkians (0-5). Freshman Kristina Olshanskaya won her fifth consecutive singles match, improving her dual record to 7-7. She has also won six of the last seven and has won a match at every position she has played (No. 1-No. 4). Olshanskaya's win over Thais Oliv`e was the freshman's first win at No. 2.

Fellow freshman Marina Zelenovic was on her way to winning her first set in nearly seven matches before defaulting her match due to illness. Senior Jelena Kocergin improved her spring singles record to 3-1 by defeating Southeast Missouri's Lara Golike in two straight sets.

Missouri will host Nebraska on April 4 at 12:00 p.m. The Cornhuskers sit atop the Big 12 Conference at 14-1.
