
Women's Golf Takes 5th at Big 12 Fall Preview

Lincoln, Neb. - The University of Missouri women?s golf team finished in 5th place at the Big 12 Fall Preview, which wrapped up today with 18 holes of play at the Country Club of Lincoln, in Lincoln, Neb.
Missouri shot a final team round of 300, marking a steady improvement from 322 and 307 in the first two rounds, respectively. Mizzou?s three-round team total of 929 left the Tigers 23 strokes behind champion and host Nebraska, which won with a team total of 906.
Leading the way individually were juniors Jamie Tucker and Amelia Moses, who paced Missouri with identical 11th-place finishes. The pair shot identical final-rounds of 75 to finish with three-round totals of 230, 10 strokes behind champion Maria Boden of Oklahoma State.
One other Tiger notched top-20 finishes in the team?s first outing of the fall ? sophomore Nisha Sadekar of Aurora, Ontairo, who placed a career-best 15th with a total of 231. She shot a final round of 71, which was three strokes better than her previous collegiate best.
Rounding out the Tiger competitors were freshman Elin Ohlsson of Svetlanda, Sweden and senior Tobi Probst of Columbus, Ind. Ohlsson tied for 35th overall with a three-round score of 238, while Probst finished 55th individually with her total of 247.
Next up for Head Coach Tom Loyd?s squad is the Colorado Invitational, to be held Sept. 27-28 in Boulder, Colo.
