COLUMBIA, MO. -- The Missouri-Nebraska football game, scheduled for Sept. 25, is sold out. The last few available general admission tickets for the Big 12 Conference opener were purchased this morning.
MU officials believe this is the earliest declared sellout in school history. In its current configuration, the maximum crowd that can be handled at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field is 68,174. It will be Mizzou's second sellout in four home games. The Tigers also played before a sellout crowd in last year's regular-season finale vs. Kansas State.
Game time for the contest will be announced early next week, once the Big 12 Conference's television partners make their selections for Sept. 25. Potential game times are 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. If for some reason the game is not selected for television, it will kick off at 1 p.m.
