Tigers Pluck Jayhawks

The Missouri Tiger volleyball team picked up their fourth conference win as they defeated Big 12 conference rival, Kansas Jayhawks, 3-1 (11-15, 15-11, 15-5, 15-11).

Freshman sensation Naaron Branson lead the Tigers with 14 kills, hitting a .250 clip. Annette Luyten added 10 kills and hit a .350 clip. The Tigers served up 15 aces. Senior Chandra Hopkins lead the way with five, followed closely by Branson with 4.

The Jayhawks were lead by Amanda Reves with 17 kills. Reves also assisted on eight blocks. The Jayhawks outblocked Missouri 15-13.

The two teams are now tied in the conference. Missouri faces Oklahoma Saturday night at 7:30 in Hearnes.
