Tiger Caravan to Visit St. Joseph, April 28

Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri Athletic Department and the MU Alumni Association invites MU alumni, fans, and friends to meet with Head Football Coach Larry Smith and Head Basketball Coach Quin Snyder when the Mizzou Caravan stops in St. Joseph, Mo., Wed., April 28th.

Tiger Athletics and the MU Alumni Association will sponsor a reception and "Tiger Talk" that evening at St. Joseph Country Club, at 50 Ridgeland Road, in St. Joseph. A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dinner program, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $17 per person ($15 for Alumni Association members and Tiger Scholarship Fund donors), and includes dinner and doorprizes. A cash bar will also be available.

Smith will present his goals for the Tiger football program as it prepares for the 1999 season, and review the spring practice period which ended Sat., April 17th. Snyder will make his first appearance in St. Joseph since being named men's basketball coach on April 7th. Also speaking will be MU Director of Athletics Michael Alden.

Mizzou fans can pick up Tiger football ticket information at the event. Persons attending will also have the opportunity to purchase Tiger merchandise and souvenirs. The Tigers' Den, official Memorial Stadium/Hearnes Center, will have a booth set up and will offer 10 percent discounts to all MU Alumni Association members who present their membership card.
