Sophomore forward Nikki Thole is the national leader in points per game. According to the NCAA, Thole is averaging 4.33 points per game. She has 14 total points this year and 32 career points at Missouri. The NCAA also has Thole listed second in goals per game at 2 as the average. Scoring the first ever hat trick against Loyola, Thole repeated the same feat against Southwest Missouri State. In Tuesday's (Sept. 15th) game versus SLU, Thole notched an assist on Erin Grimsley's goal. Thole was a second team All-Big 12 selection in 1997, and a Third Team Freshman All-American and First team All Central Region (Soccer Buzz) all in 1997.
