COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri Tigers were defeated by the weather once again on Wednesday afternoon at Simmons Field. The Tigers (32-17) were to play host to Northern Iowa (24-26). It is the third straight mid-week game the Tigers have lost to weather. Missouri lost a game on April 28 against Southwest Missouri State and a game vs. Southeast Missouri State on May 4.
Missouri is in need of victories in its quest to gain an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. At last word, the Tigers were looking for an opponent to play on Thursday
Missouri is set to wrap up the regular season beginning Friday night against the Bradley Braves (26-27) at 7:00 p.m. Ceremonies for the new baseball stadium will be held beginning at 6:45 p.m. The final game at the old Simmons Field will be played on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
