Men's Hoops Nabs Big Road Win at SMU

DALLAS - Missouri ended a 23-game road losing streak with a 66-55 victory Saturday night over Southern Methodist behind 28 points by Albert White.

It was the first road game of the season for Missouri (7-1). White made 9-of-16 field goal attempts and added 16 rebounds.

SMU (1-4) made just 5-of-23 3-point attempts and only 8 of 18 free throws.

Jeryl Sasser, who had been averaging 20 points for SMU's Mustangs, was in foul trouble most of the night and finished with 6 points in 19 minutes.

Stephen Woods scored 17 and Chad Elsey 13 for SMU.

Missouri led 32-31 at the half and pulled away. SMU pulled to within 53-50 with 5:29 to play, but the Tigers went on a 7-0 run to lead by 60-50 with 2:24 remaining.
