COLUMBIA, MO. ___ -- Coach Larry Smith has added another player to the 1999 football recruiting class at the University of Missouri. Defensive back Larry Hollinquest, a transfer from Fort Scott (Kan.) Community College, will join the Tigers when the team reports for pre-season drills in August.

Hollinquest, 6-0, 195, signed with TCU in 1997 out of South Houston High School. He is a native of Pasadena, Texas. He played in all 11 games and started some for the Horned Frogs in '97, and made five tackles.

In high school, Hollinquest was a two-time all-district performer and was also a top kick return specialist, utilizing his 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash.

Last year, he played safety for Coach Kevin Gundy at Fort Scott Community College and had 47 tackles and two pass interceptions.
