Concussion Keeps Dooling From Practice

February 17, 1999

University of Missouri freshman guard KEYON DOOLING missed practice today due to the affects of a concussion he suffered in Monday's game vs. Oklahoma.

Dooling experienced headaches and dizziness the last two days, and was held out of practice today. He was taken for a precautionary CT Scan Wednesday afternoon. It is anticipated that he will be available for Saturday's game at Oklahoma State.

Dooling suffered the concussion when he was fouled hard on a breakaway by Oklahoma's Eduardo Najera, with 8:26 left in the first half on Monday. Dooling left the game after the foul, but did return afterwards.

The Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native has averaged 15.1 points a game in MU's last eight ballgames, and has established himself as a leading candidate for Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year.
