A track-and-field star for the Tigers from 1986-89, LeBlanc was a four-time all-American and seven-time Big Eight Conference champion, competing in a variety of events. Primarily a heptathlete, LeBlanc was named the “Most Outstanding Female Athlete” at both the Big Eight indoor and outdoor championships in 1989. She qualified for the U.S. Olympic trials in the heptathlon in 1988 and was a member of six Tiger relay teams that established school records. She is married to former MU basketball star, Mike Sandbothe.
