Susan Tietjen

The first swimmer chosen for the Hall of Fame, Tietjen was a four-time all-Big Eight and all-America swimmer from 1979-82. In 1982, she qualified for the NCAA finals in the 50 freestyle and placed fifth. After graduation, she joined the U.S. National Team, and was its co-captain in 1983. During her career, Tietjen set eight school records. She was a native of Osage Beach, Mo.
