- 2010
- Class:
- 1973
One of the top centers in the country under Coach Al Onofrio, Anderson was a key performer on Missouri teams that played in the 1972 Fiesta Bowl against Arizona State and the 1973 Sun Bowl against Auburn. All-Big Eight Conference and all-America in 1973, Anderson played in the Hula Bowl and Coaches’ All-American all-star games in 1974, then played in the NFL with the Minnesota Vikings from 1974-77. In 1973, he recovered a Nebraska fumble that set up a touchdown and propelled the Tigers to a 13-12 victory in Columbia. That was the last time Missouri had beaten the Cornhuskers on Faurot Field until 2003.
