One of the best multi-event athletes in Missouri track and field history, Kansas City native Nick Adcock qualified for five NCAA Championships, and earned all-America honors at each one as a heptathlete/decathlete. In 2008 Adcock placed fourth in the NCAA indoor heptathlon and the outdoor decathlon. He was also fourth nationally in the indoor heptathlon in both 2009 and 2010. He closed his career with a fifth-place finish in the decathlon at the NCAA Championships. Adcock won the Big 12 Conference championship in the 2008 and 2010 heptathlons and added a league title in the 2010 decathlon. Adcock left Mizzou holding the school record in the heptathlon (5,938 points) and the 60-meter hurdles (7.92 seconds) and stands third in program history in the decathlon (7,704 points). He was also a multi-time academic all-Big 12 honoree and USTFCCCA academic all-American
