Christi Myers
- Induction:
- 2012
- Class:
- 2003
Myers was one of the central figures as Mizzou’s volleyball program evolved into one with national prominence, becoming MU’s first AVCA all-American, attaining third-team status in 2002. She set Mizzou’s career record in blocks (454) and ranks among the leaders in hitting percentage (.322) and kills (1,476). But volleyball wasn’t Myers’ only athletic avocation, as she also doubled as a high jumper for the Tiger track and field team. She was quite successful, too, becoming only the third female in Mizzou history to clear the six-foot mark, and she was a three-time all-Big 12 Conference performer, highlighted by a second-place finish in 2001 and a third in 2002.
