2012: Sophomore (Mizzou)
Simpson played in 14 matches for the Tigers, starting in eight of those contests (47 sets). During the 2012 season, she recorded 118 kills and hit .267. She also added 50 digs and 30 blocks for 139.0 points. Simpson recorded 12 kills and 13 digs against Virginia Tech (8/26/12) and led the Tigers with 11 kills against Appalachian State (9/1/12). Mizzou finished the year 19-11.
2011: Freshman (Nebraska)
Taylor participated in 12 matches before being sidelined with an injury for the remainder of her freshman season • Recorded a career-high four kills on six attacks for a hitting percentage of .500 against Weber State on Sept. 10 • Notched three blocks against New Mexico State on Aug. 26 and again against Albany on Sept. 3.

Simpson was named the No. 9 player in the country in 2010 by Prepvolleyball.com, was selected to play in the Under Armour All-American game at the 2010 NCAA Semifinals and was an ESPN RISE Volleyball All-America Honorable-Mention pick • Was the Colorado High School Class 5A Player of the Year in 2009 • Member of the 2010 U.S. Youth Olympic Team that finished second in Singapore • Led the Americans’ in scoring at the tournament, including 11 kills, six blocks and an ace in the final match against Belgium • Tabbed as a 2010 Preseason All-American by MaxPreps and named to the Under Armour Girls’ High School All-America Watch List • Led Doherty High School to a 22-8 record and a trip to the 5A state semifinals • Totaled 471 kills (5.0 per set), 60 blocks, 312 digs and 21 aces in 2010 • Led the Spartans to a fifth-place finish at state in 2008 and third-place finish in 2009 • Was named to the MaxPreps All-America team as a junior and Prepvolleyball.com’s Top-50 Junior list after producing 446 kills, 46 blocks and 289 digs.
