        Played in six Tiger matches, coming back from shoulder surgery, a torn ACL, and a broken        hand ... played in the NCAA Tournament second-round match versus Arkansas, scoring a kill        ... grabbed three blocks and a a kill against UMKC.
2003:
        Redshirt season.
High School:
        Attended Omaha Christian High School for three seasons, before transferring to Gretna High        for her senior season...set a school record for hitting percentage (.461) as a senior...had        245 kills, 161 digs and 33 aces in 2002...hit .416 for her career...recorded 605 kills, 410        digs and 102 aces in her high school career...named to the Class B All-State first team and        to the Super State second team as a senior...was a first team All-Conference selection in        both her junior and senior seasons...twice earned All-Omaha area first team honors...also        was a four-year letter winner in basketball and track...was a three-time All-State        selection in basketball...named to the All-Omaha area team in basketball three season...was        a member of the All-Conference basketball team twice...was a three year medal winner at the        state track meet in the high jump...was the Valedictorian of her class...member of the        National Honor Society for two years...made the honor roll all four years...was a four-year        academic letterwinner...earned six Academic All-State honors...was included in the Who's        Who Among American High School Students.

        Undecided on her major...was also recruited by Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas State, Kansas,        Oklahoma and Texas...picked MU because of the coaches and the campus. born Melissa Ann        Allbery on July 11, 1984.
