Chandler Stephens joined the Mizzou sports medicine staff in September 2020 and provides athletic training services to the men's and women's swimming and diving program.

Prior to Mizzou, Chandler served as the primary athletic trainer with women’s soccer and baseball at Arkansas State University. Before becoming a full-time staff member at ASU, she served in a similar role as a graduate assistant while obtaining her master's in sport administration.

She started her career as an intern athletic trainer with the Ragin’ Cajuns at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, primarily working with cross country and track & field while assisting with men’s and women’s tennis.

Chandler earned a dual bachelor’s of education in both athletic training and exercise & sport science from the University of Georgia in 2017. While at UGA, she had the opportunity to become a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) and still maintains that certification today.

In addition to being an EMT, Chandler also recently obtained her Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) certification. She is a certified and licensed athletic trainer through the Board of Certification and the Missouri Board of Healing Arts, respectively.

The native of Ellijay, Georgia, is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Mid-America Athletic Trainers Association, Missouri Athletic Trainers Association, and the College Athletic Trainers Society.
