Christine Mabile enters her second season as an assistant coach for the Mizzou swimming and diving program.
Mabile came to Mizzou from the College of Idaho, where she spent five years as head coach of the swimming and diving programs. At the College of Idaho, she recorded the most wins by a coach in program history. Mabile led both the men’s and women’s programs to five consecutive berths at the NAIA Swimming & Diving National Championships, including top-15 finishes in the last four seasons. In 2015-16, the men’s and women’s teams finished seventh and 10th, respectively, both the highest in school history.
“Christine’s head coaching experience of both men and women by herself at the College of Idaho will bring a lot of experience to our pool deck,” Rhodenbaugh said. “She is excited to be back at the Division I level and can’t wait to dig in here at Mizzou.”
Mabile coached 11 student-athletes to finals or consolation finals at the NAIA Championships, including a third-place finish by Mckayla Stevens in the 200y freestyle in 2016. She has coached seven Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes as well.
Before her stint at C of I, Mabile spent four seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Boise State, helping the Broncos to the 2010 and 2011 WAC Championship. She is a 2010 graduate of Boise State with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.
