Indoor Track – Kicked off the indoor season with a first-place finish in the 60m dash at the Illinois-Iowa Border Battle, finishing at 6.68 … Followed up with a second-place finish in the 60m dash at the Missouri Invitational with a time of 6.66 … Ran in the 200m at the Husker Invitational, finishing eighth with a time of 21.54 … Posted a season-best time in the 60m dash at the Tyson Invitational, posting a time of 6.59 … Finished second in the 60m dash at the SEC Championships to earn an All-SEC First Team Selection, finishing at 6.60.

Indoor Track - Markesh competed in the 60m dash throughout the indoor season, starting with a winning effort at the Border Battle, where he crossed in 6.72...He dropped that time throughout the next two meets, placing seventh at the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet in 6.67, and third at the Armory Track Invitational in 6.65...He was 12th at the Tyson Invitational (6.73) before closing his season with a 6.67 effort at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, winning the event on his home track...Markesh earned his second All-SEC honor for the 60m dash during the championship meet, besting his own school record in the event with a 6.58 crossing, good for second in the field...He closed his season at the NCAA Championships, where he finished fifth in the country (6.62) for his second podium finish at the indoor championship meet.
Outdoor Track - Markesh focused on the 100m dash during his outdoor campaign, and also competed in the 4x100m...He opened the season at the Texas Relays as a member of the seventh-fastest 4x100m team in school history, crossing with a final time of 40.68 for 11th in the prestigious field...He also competed as an individual in Austin, finishing in third for the 100m dash (10.24)...Next up was the Penn Relays, where he represented the Tigers in the 100m dash (10.41)...He defended his home track during the Tom Botts Invitational, crossing in 10.28 for 100m to notch his first win of the season...He was eighth at the SEC Championships in the 100m dash (10.27)...He finished 11th in the 100m dash (10.17w) at the NCAA West Preliminary Round to qualify on to the NCAA Championships, where he placed 13th in the field with a season's best time of 10.18.

Indoor Track - Markesh continued breaking records into his sophomore year with the Tigers, adding his name to the top of the record board for the indoor 200m dash after finishing in 21.13 at the Tyson Invitational...He started the season, though, with a pair of wins in the 60m dash at the Missouri Opener (6.69) and Wisconsin v. Missouri Dual (6.79)...At the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, where he broke the 60m dash school recrod for the first time during his freshman year, Markesh placed second in the dash with a 6.65 crossing...He followed that up with a season's best 6.60 at the Armory Collegiate Invitational, tying his school record mark in the event and placing second in the field...He ended his season at the SEC Championships, placing seventh in the 60m dash.
Outdoor Track - Markesh kicked off his outdoor campaign with a series of relays, placing fourth with the 4x400m team at the Missouri Relays before competing as a member of Mizzou's 4x100m and 4x200m teams at the prestigious Penn Relays...His first open 100m dash also came during the Penn Relays, where he crossed in 11th overall with a final time of 10.69...He placed first in the 100m dash at the Tom Botts Invitational (10.41) before going on to don the black and gold at the SEC Championships, where he crossed in tenth for the 100m dash...Markesh ended his season at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, hitting a season's best 10.35 in the 100m dash, placing 20th overall.

Indoor Track - Markesh's freshman year was one for the record books, highlighted by a Mizzou School Record, SEC title, and All-American finish during the indoor season...He wasted no time getting to work, kicking the season off with a school record-tying performance in the 60m dash at the Missouri Invitational, winning the event in 6.70...He went on to break the record for the first of four times that season during the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, placing first in the field with a 6.69 crossing...He had a pair of impressive performances at the Tyson Invitational, running a PR of 6.66 during the preliminary round, then coming back to hit 6.63 in the final for third overall...His last record-breaking performance of the season came at the SEC Championships, where he became the first Tiger Track & Field athlete to claim an SEC title after crossing in record time (6.60), and was named the SEC Freshman Runner of the Year for his efforts...He ended the season with an All-American performance at the NCAA Championships, crossing the line in 6.66 for fifth in the 60m dash field.
Outdoor Track - Markesh headlining the track & field performances during the outdoor season, landing in the record books with the No. 3 100m dash time in school history, and the No. 9 time for the 200m dash...Both PR performances came during the SEC Championships, where he earned an All-SEC honor in the 100m dash with his 10.18 finish, and placed 11th in the 200m dash with a final time of 21.10...He was also a member of the Tigers' 4x100m team, which placed tenth at the SEC Championships...Markesh went on to take fourth in the 100m dash at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, stamping his ticket to the NCAA Championships where he earned a Second Team All-American honor after placing tenth in the field...He was the fastest freshman in the NCAA Championships field with his wind-aided mark of 10.12.

Markesh competed at Fountain Fort Carson HS for coach Keith Smith...He helped his team to two State Championship titles...As an individual, Markesh was a State Championship runner-up in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and 4x200m (2010)...In 2011, he was State Champion in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and 4x200m...He was an All-State finisher in the 100m, and State Champion in the 4x100m and 4x200m, during his senior season (2012)...Markesh was an All-American athlete in high school, and won the Colorado Athlete of the Week and Colorado Athlete of the Year awards.
