Outdoor Track – Began the season by finishing first in the javelin at the CMU Open (March 18) with a throw of 59.30m (194-6.5) … Finished fourth in the javelin at the Crimson Tide Invite (April 8) with a mark of 66.23m (217-3) … Placed second in the javelin at the John McDonnell Invitational (April 22) with a jump of 65.18m (213-10) … Finished third in the javelin at the Drake Relays (April 28) with a throw of 58.45m (191-9) … Placed eighth in the javelin at the SEC Indoor Championships (May 11) with a mark of 66.12m (216-11) … Clinched his trip to Eugene at the NCAA West Preliminary (May 25) by finishing fifth with a throw of 70.22m (230-4) … Earned All-America status by finishing fourth in the javelin at the NCAA Championships (June 7) with a personal record throw of 75.38m (247-4), the third-best throw in program history and the highest javelin finish at the NCAA Championships in program history.

Outdoor Track - Alex had an exciting debut season as a Tiger, culminating in an All-Time Top Ten performance in the javelin and an NCAA Championships qualification...The season began, though, at the Texas Relays where Alex marked in a 13th-place performance in the field (60.67m // 199-0)...He improved on that mark during the John McDonnell Invitational, tossing 63.35m (207-10) to take fifth in the field...He had his first winning performance in the black and gold during the SIUE Gateway Invitational, throwing 62.80m (206-0)...He continued improving through the next two meets, marking in at 64.20m (210-7) to take fifth at the Drake Relays, and 68.65m (225-3) to take second at home during the Tom Botts Invitational...Alex represented the Tigers during the SEC Championships, placing 11th in the javelin field (62.43m // 204-10) before marking a huge PR at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, punching his ticket to the NCAA Championships with a mark of 70.30m (230-8), good for fourth in the field...He closed his season with a 24th-place finish at the championship meet.
