Cross Country- Placed 7th in the 4K race at the Saluki Early Bird with a final time of 12:45.9...Finished 17th in the 8K competition at the Missouri Cross Country Challenge, clocking in at 28:04.99...Came in 192nd at the 5-mile Notre Dame Invitational, crossing the line in 26:58...Took 78th at the Big 12 Championships, crossing the line with a PR of 26:25.7...Named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

Indoor Track- Reset his peronal-bests in both the mile and 3K during the indoor season...Clocked his PR in the mile at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge after running a time of 4:32.25...His season-best mark in the 3K came at the Iowa State Classic as he finished 4th with a time of 8:42.01...Competed in the 3K at the Bill Bergan Invitational, finishing in 8:49.78
Outdoor Track- Ran in the 3K Steeplechase twice during the outdoor season, posting a season-best time of 10:13.59 at the Tom Botts Invitational...Also competed in the 3K Steeplechase at the Missouri Relays, where he placed 6th in 10:14.98
High School:
JT ran for Burlington HS under coach Jim Hofmann...Team was 3rd at the 2008 IAHSAA Cross Country State Championship, and State Champions in 2009...Was the IAHSAA State Champion for Cross Country in 2008, running a 15:21, which tied him for the 7th all-time in state cross country history...Was IAHSAA All-State for Cross Country in 2009...All-Hawkeye Runner of the Year in 2008...On the Track, he was part of the 3rd place team at the IAHSAA State Championship...As an individual, JT was a State Medalist for the 3200m in 2009 and 2010...Was on the All-Mississippi Athletic Conference Cross Country team (2007-2009) and Track team (2007-2010)...High School Bests are 4:25.54 (1600m), 9:25.25 (3200m), and 15:21 (5K XC).
