Indoor Track – Threw the weight throw during the indoor season for the Tigers, posting three top-five finishes … Placed fourth in the weight throw at the Illinois-Iowa Border Battle, posting a throw of 16.13m (52-11) … Earned a third-place finish at the Missouri Invitational with a weight throw of 16.35m (53-7.75) … Finished second at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge in the weight throw with a throw of 17.05m (55-11.25) … Posted a season-best weight throw at the SEC Championships, finishing 15th with a throw of 17.21m (56-5.75).

Indoor Track - Nick competed in four meets during the indoor season, starting with the Border Battle where he placed fifth in the weight throw (15.38m // 50-5.50) and seventh in the shot put (13.35m // 43-9.75)...He was sixth at home during the Missouri Invitational for the shot put (14.12m // 46-4)...Placed sixth in the weight throw, and tenth in the shot put, during the Tiger Invitational...Nick closed his season at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, earning a pair of season's bests in the shot put (14.76m // 48-5.25) and weight throw (16.27m // 53-4.50), taking second and seventh, respectively.
Outdoor Track - Nick's junior outdoor campaign was highlighted by his first SEC Championships finish...It started, though, with the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational, where he placed fourth in the shot put (14.45m // 47-5) and fifth in the hammer (52.07m // 170-10)...He then traveled to Arkansas for the John McDonnell Invitational, finishing fourth in the hammer (54.12m // 177-7) and 11th in the shot put (13.98m // 45-10.50)...Nick threw a season's best 14.51m (47-7.25) to take fourth in the SIUE Gateway Invitational shot put competition...He also placed fourth in the hammer throw at SIUE and during the ESU Mid-Week Open the following weekend...He returned home for the final meet of the regular season, taking fifth in the hammer throw during the Tom Botts Invitational with a PR toss of 54.48m (178-9)...Nick closed his season at the SEC Championships where he was 15th in the hammer throw field (53.65m // 176-0).

Indoor Track - Nick opened his indoor season at the Missouri Opener, taking third in both the shot put (14.03m // 46-0.50) and weight throw (15.44m // 50-8)...He was third in the weight throw during the Badger Open (14.61m // 47-11.25) before hitting a new shot put PR of 14.76m (48-5.25) at the Wisconsin v. Missouri Dual, good for second in the field...He also took fourth against Wisconsin in the weight throw (15.55m // 51-0.25)...He doubled-up in the shot put and weight throw during the Missouri Invitational, taking 13th and tenth, respectively...Nick closed his season at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge with a third-place finish in the shot put and a third-place finish in the weight throw, tossing a new PR of 16.59m (54-5.25).
Outdoor Track - Nick competed in four events during the outdoor season, starting with the SIUE Cougar Classic where he was seventh in the hammer throw (46.82m // 153-7)...He earned his season's best in the hammer during the Missouri Relays, finishing second with a top toss of 53.39m (175-2)...He was sixth in the hammer at the SIUE Gateway Invitational before returning home for the final meet of the season, the Tom Botts Invitational, where he was second in the shot put (15.45m // 50-8.25) and fourth in the hammer (51.13m // 167-9)...2014 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll

Indoor Track - Nick kicked off his Tiger career at the Cyclone Holiday Preview, where he competed in both the shot put (13.64m // 44-9) and weight throw (14.60m // 47-11)...He returned home for the Missouri Invitational, taking eighth in the shot put competition (13.84m // 45-5) and ninth in the weight throw (15.52m // 50-11)...He earned a pair of PR's during the Rod McCravy Memorial Meet, taking 16th in the weight throw with a toss of 16.51m (54-2) and 18th in the shot put with a mark of 14.36m (47-1.50)...Nick closed his season at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge, taking fifth in the shot put (14.32m // 46-11.25) and seventh in the weight throw (15.81m // 51-10.50).
Outdoor Track - Nick's first meet of the outdoor season was at home with the Missouri Relays, where he was third in the hammer throw field (47.99m // 157-5), fourth in the shot put (14.88m // 48-10), and 11th in the discus (39.69m // 130-2)...He took to the ring in the same three events during each meet of the outdoor season, including the Arkansas Spring Invitational where he was seventh in the shot put (15.10m // 49-6.50), 12th in the hammer (49.14m // 161-3), and 16th in the discus (38.27m // 125-7)...He followed those performances up with a set of top-ten finishes during the Crimson Tide Invitational, taking fourth in the shot put (15.38m // 50-5.50), seventh in the discus (44.03m // 144-5), and ninth in the hammer (47.44m // 155-8)...Nick earned a PR in the shot put at the Ole Miss Invitational, taking seventh in the field with a top toss of 15.71m (51-6.50)...He also placed 13th in the hammer and 14th in the discus at Ole Miss...He closed his season with a pair of PR's during the Iowa Musco Invitational, taking sixth in the discus with a best mark of 44.11m (144-9) and placing eighth in the hammer with a top throw of 50.66m (166-2).

Nick competed at Rock Bridge HS for coach Elisha Hunt...He helped his team to a District title and a seventh-place finish at the 2011 MSHSAA State Championships...As an individual, Nick was All-District in the shot put (2009), and All-Section in the discus (2010-11) and shot put (2011)...He was District and Sectional Champion in the shot put and discus (2010-11)...He also earned All-State honors in the shot put in 2010 and 2011...Nick was the Rock Bridge HS Most Valuable Thrower all four years.
PERSONAL
Parents are Anthony and Julie...Born June 1, 1993 in Columbia, Mo....Nick earned the George Washington Carver Award, the Presidential Excellence Award, and the Scholar-Athlete Award in 2011...He was on honor roll all four years of HS (2007-10)...Two-time recipient of the CACC I Can Club Award and was a CACC Outstanding Student Finalist (2009-10)...He earned the 2008 Departmental Excellence Award in Government and Economics...He is studying Biochemistry.
